1.0 Horrible company posted on December 08, 2008

Do NOT go to work here. They seem to hate their employees -- so not understandable -- being an HR company. I have never worked for such a terrible company.

The heat is not on in the building. We are freezing. Also you cannot get a couple hours off to go to a personal appointment without taking official time off. The owners don't come in until late in the day and they are never available to discuss anything. The pre-sales engineers tell employees to lie about functionality since many applications don't work. Customers only find out after purchase.

That would be funny if it didn't sound like you were still working there. Here in the Boston area it's quite cold today!

It is a bit funny that nothing's changed. When I worked at Softscape, the AC was off for a long stretch during some hot weather in late spring and early summer. It was 80-85F and we were all sweating. I'll always remember an officemate turning to me and saying, after wiping the sweat from his brow with a handkerchief, "It's going to be a long summer!"

PS: I was on the ground floor, and my desk was next to an outside wall. We had ants coming in through a crack between the floor and the wall. We had little anthills on the carpet!

PS: And, that same spring, the toilets backed up, flooding half the ground floor of the "Sofscape Center" with stinky water!

Successfactors is at it again. They have laid off 25% of their workforce according to 3 recently laid of and recently interviewed SF people. Too bad they have too much time on their hands to spread false rumors and allegation on web sites. Anonymous person - tell us who you are!

It is odd how defensive pro-Softscape posters are. They appear to be responding to comments that are about other companies! Sad really.

  • Softscape Loses Another Lawsuit posted on May 21, 2009 12:19 PM

    From this web page: http://www.leadertelegram.com/story-news_local.asp?id=BJVRL0JCJSH

"A jury sided with Eau Claire County in a civil case last week against a Delaware software company hired to install a computer system to track cases for the county Human Services Department.

The jury ruled the county and software company Softscape did not fulfill their contracts, but awarded $307,000 in damages to the county, and awarded Softscape $36,000 from the county."

A lot more detail at the above link...

  • Couldn't get the job done for the county posted on May 21, 2009 12:27 PM

Another Interesting bit about Softscape from this page:

    http://www.wqow.com/Global/story.asp?S=10348168

"Eau Claire (WQOW) - A computer company that couldn't get the job done for the county has been ordered to pay up.

A jury ordered Softscape Development to pay Eau Claire County about $270,000.

The county hired the company to redo the software system for human services. But after it paid out about $165,000 for the job, the county says it became clear there were problems.

The jury found the company made false claims and breached its contract."
