rating for VMware

4.0 A great place to work posted on September 14, 2006

Probably the best software job I've ever had; the hiring bar is sky high, resulting in coworkers who are amazingly brilliant and fun to be around.

The company has the culture of a startup and the resources of huge corporation -- while EMC throws money at VMware, control is entirely separate, and VMware management has their head in the right place. Even at the lowest level of engineering, it's possible to exert an influence on the direction of products.
